Is the Lord calling you to become a mission worker? Then you should do the following:
- Start a 'spiritual' diary. Write down Bible verses from your quiet time, persistent thoughts or
interesting happenings. When you read through your diary after a month or two, you will see
how God is guiding you.
- Discuss your call with your pastor. The local church is God's instrument to reach the
world with the Gospel. Therefore it is very important that the leaders of your church seek
the Lord and decide with you concerning the field you are to work in, which training you need,
with which mission organisation you work, etc.
- Pray for the world. The book "Operation World" by Patrick Johnstone contains information on every
country in the world and can be ordered from SAAWE.
- Contact Bettie Loock on (011) 396-1225 and make an appointment for a personal interview.
- Refer to "Selected Opportunities in Christian Service". If you should know to
which country or in which occupation God wants to use you, we can provide you with vacancies in
that country or occupation.
- Order the handbook "Send Mission Workers" @ R30 per copy that will help your church to equip,
send and support you.
