SAAWE is planning a whole lot of exciting outreaches for 2008. Keep watching this space!

All these outreaches will take place in school and university holidays.

Malawi

This is a youth outreach - mainly for school children and students - to two areas in Malawi: Nkhoma mission station and Cape McLear next to the Malawi Lake. Both the people whom we work with and the beauty of the area, is something wonderful to experience. We work alongside the indigenous church and help them where and how they want to use us.

The cost of the outreach is more or less US$550 but it can change depending on the Rand/dollar exchange rate and the petrol price. This includes transport from South Africa.

Previous participants testified that these outreaches were life changing: "It opened my eyes and for the first time I see the need of others. Food is a privilege to have available and then we are not even talking about many choices!"

Mozambique

The Mozambique outreach is an annual event. It is nearer and cheaper. We usually go to a place in the Inhambane Province where it is idyllic beautiful. The people are spiritually poor and hungry for the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a worker’s camp but also an evangelism outreach.

This outreach is for young people who are prepared to go and make a difference in less comfortable circumstances.

Costs are more or less US$450, including transport.

SAAWE Endurance

The SAAWE Endurance is held annually or bi-annually in different countries. It is by far an adventure outreach for those who are young at heart, but also for those who think they can make it physically. The next Endurance will be a cycling tour in the Middle East. Nice and exciting, not a dull moment!

The cost depends on where it will be held. It will be more or less US$2200-00 per person, visas excluded. We are working on an exchange rate of R8-00 to US$1.

Middle East

This outreach usually takes place during October/November and includes Egypt, Cyprus and one or two more countries. It also includes attendance of the SAT 7 annual consultation.

India

This is an exposure trip for anyone who would like to see and experience something of the world religions. During this trip travelers are exposed to four of the largest religions in the world. They also visit remarkable places like the Taj Mahal which is one of the seven human made wonders of the world. This trip is especially for leaders, pastors, students and those with a heart for world missions.

Cost for the trip is more or less US$2000-00 per person, depending on the Rand/dollar exchange rate.
